Intuition is a form of instant knowledge. Independent of reason, it provides relevant information instantly, without the need for reflection, calculation, analysis, deduction, or thought. It does
not require prior information to manifest. It arises spontaneously, not from unconscious reasoning, but from a particular way of accessing information.
Etymologically, the word "intuition" comes from the Latin words intuitio - meaning "reflected image in a mirror" - and intueri, where in means "in" or "into" and tueri means "to look at
attentively" or "to contemplate". Thus, intueri refers to the act of looking closely into oneself.
Intuition thus represents a direct, spontaneous form of understanding that depends neither on experience nor on external sensory cues. It allows us to access knowledge that comes from within our
own being. The Latin roots of the word take on their full meaning.
Intuition is a complete form of thinking. All Homo sapiens possess this ability. It's important to understand that intuition is not a gift and that intuitive moments are not gifts from heaven.
Training is the key to developing intuition.
After all, let's face it, so-called "artificial intelligence" programs are completely devoid of intuition. The human brain has a bright future!
